Enjoy your holiday in a fantastic, restored Catalan apartment in a village house, situated in beautiful surroundings in southern Catalonia. You can relax at the pool or on the roof terrace and furthermore, the beach at the Costa Daurada, the Priorat wine district and the historic cities Reus and Tarragona are only between 15 and 30 minutes drive away.

History
In the 1920's a nearby castle was restored by a local diplomat. To show his gratefulness to the work of the local stonecutter "Joanet", he was given a piece of land. Here he built the original Casa Agentena, which has later been extended several times. Carved into the house balcony, you still see an example of Joanets' beautiful work. A few years ago, Ina and Albert decided to reform the house into a holiday home and with a fabulous result. The house is now incredibly beautiful and equipped with all modern facilities without compromising the authentic atmosphere of the house.

The Apartment
The ground floor has 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom and a large dining or meeting room with space for 15 persons, a masonry stove and an open kitchen with access to the garden. This room has a projector and homecinema equipment. One of the bedrooms is oriental inspired and closes with an original wooden sliding door, beautifully carved in Indonesia.

Outdoor Areas
Although the house is a townhouse, it is situated as the last house in the village. Therefore, the house offers plenty of opportunities to spend the holidays outside in the beautiful Catalan summer. At the top of the house, you have the large roof terrace with patio furniture. On the levels between the ground floor and the first floor, there are two terraces, one in the sun and one in the shade with the option for outdoor eating, as well as a barbecue area. There are also a couple of pine trees which provide shade and where you can enjoy life in the hammock. For children there are swings and a slide. Below, there is the garden with a swimming pool where you can cool down and children can play. There is also a table football. The house has a WIFI-Internet connection available free of charge.

If you need more accommodation, there is a hostel with 3 rooms in the village.

Through the owners it is possible to rent mountain bikes, where you can either make the hard trip up to the castle or you can take the easier paths down to the coast.

Apartments in Barcelona or just a visit

The advantage of the geography of Catalonia is that Barcelona is situated in the middle. You can reach Barcelona in 1-1½ hours from most of our holiday homes, so it is easy to visit the city during your stay. In addition, many choose to combine a stay in the country side with an apartment in Barcelona before or after the vacation in one of our Spanish villas.
