El Montgrí is located on the first floor of Casa Rovirola. The aparment is the largest one in the building of approximately 65 m2. The apartment has two large bedrooms: a double room and a triplle room. The kitchen is very well equipped and also has a lovely balcony with a stunning view overlooking Pla de l'Estany.
Casa Rovirola, located between Banyoles Lake and Rocacorba Mountain, surrounded by oak trees and olive groves on top of a hill, from which you have stunning views of the Pla del Estany, the Emporda region and even to the neighboring region "Girones". It is very peaceful, yet only 3 km to the center of Banyoles, a charming Catalan province town.
In ancient times, Casa Rovirola was a restored oil mill. The house was the first to be built after the Romans left the area. Roughly 1.5 km. from the house it is stillpossible to see some meters of the ancient Roman "via". Today, the oldest part of the house dates back to the 7th century. After a thorough restoration, the main building dates back to the 16th century, now divided into 6 different apartments that can accomodate between 2 - 5 people.
The apartments are a are designed and decorated in a way that shows the history of the house as it has rustic décor and modern facilities. The apartments have kitchens, sitting areas, bathrooms, TV, DVD, WIFI internet access and high quality bed and central heating.
Furthermore, there is access to an indoor common area as well as the outdoor areas. There is a large, beautiful garden with barbecue area on one side of the house and and the pool area on the other side of the house, with a large saltwater swimming pool of 14 x 6.5 meters and lots of sun loungers. For children there is also a children's playground.
